Bug #26503 wrong session files
Submitted: 2003-12-02 14:24 UTC Modified: 2003-12-02 14:30 UTC
From: skaufmann at gmx dot net Assigned:
Status: Not a bug Package: Session related
PHP Version: 4.3.4 OS: Windows XP SP 1
Private report: No CVE-ID: None
 [2003-12-02 14:24 UTC] skaufmann at gmx dot net
Description:
------------
PHP generates wrong session files, it adds spaces to the session variables like

Sample Session file:
status|s:2:"ok ";user|s:20:"admin            ";language|s:3:"de   ";

and the whole session handling doesn't work, maybe something is wrong with the handling of variables because I can't compare a normal entered value (from a form or set in the source) and a value from a Database (MS SQL SERVER) for example: "if ($myPasswd == $passwdFromDB)" doesn't work (I always get false as result but they are equal) but "if ($myPasswd == $myPasswd)" does.... Everything works fine with versions below 4.3.4 I tested it on 2 different machines.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us, but this is not
a bug. Please double-check the documentation available at
http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to report
a bug at http://bugs.php.net/how-to-report.php

No bug here, if you put 20chars into MSSQL, you get 20 out (including spaces)...
