Removing char *yytext, from, say Zend/php_langauge_scanner.c gets at least libphp4.la to build, but then:

cc: sapi/cli/getopt.o: No such file or directory
cc: main/internal_functions_cli.o: No such file or directory
make: *** [sapi/cli/php] Error 1
