I have a problems when in 'make' stage in my php 4.3.2
with gd 2.0.15
installation, it shows a lot if undefined references:

ext/gd/gd.o(.text+0x5f7): In function `zm_deactivate_gd':
/usr/local/src/php-4.3.2/ext/gd/gd.c:382: undefined reference to `gdFreeFontCache'
ext/gd/gd.o(.text+0x2f01): In function `zif_imagecreatefromstring':

ext/gd/gd.o(.text+0x3297): In function `zif_imagecreatefromjpeg':

The following is my configure setting:

--with-jpg-dir=/usr/local/lib \
--with-png-dir=/usr/local/lib \
--enable-gd-native-ttf 


Can anyone one tell me what the problem is?

I have nearly the same problem. It's the same php and gdlib version, but in my build only one of the errors occour:

ext/gd/gd.o(.text+0x57b): In function `zm_deactivate_gd':
/.../php4-STABLE-200411300930/ext/gd/gd.c:390: undefined reference to `gdFreeFontCache'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [sapi/cgi/php] Error 1

As you can see, I have already downloaded the latest stable build, so what's the matter with this error?

My configure command:
