nice to see that
#21367 FastCGI -b option error
is "closed", however, it's still not working:
the fastcgi is not detected in FCGX_IsCGI,
because FCGI_LISTENSOCK_FILENO (#defined to 0)
is no listening socket; it's just plain stdin :)

a close(0); in cgi_main.c, if (bindpath) { ...

of course fixes this.

just one question: did you test this even once
before declaring #21367 closed,
and how come it worked ?

Add your comments to the old bugreport, no need to open a new one.

hey derick, didn't you read?
just like sniper declared the initial submission #21303
of #21367 as bogus (not a php error)?

This one's a completely different topic!
The old bug is closed and was a different one:
there was no b in OPTSTRING.
This one's about file descriptors.

If you still think this should be appended to #21367,
then do you want change it's status back to open!?
Although it IS resolved?

workaround: having the shell close stdin works using
PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN=3 php -b 1234 <&-
running from fcgi devkit's cgi-fcgi works, too

Assigning to the responsible party. :)
