I am using Apache 1.3.9, and PHP 3.0.12. Compiling PHP into the Apache executable is fine.

I am trying to compile PHP into a DSO. But the APXS method of building the DSO appears to be broken. (The actual APXS call in the Makefile returns some rediculous RC.) I found that I could complete the build of the DSO using the APXS script that came with Apache 1.3.6. Once built, the DSO appears to load and operate correctly under Apache 1.3.9.

I think this is my fault... I went through the process on another box (still RH6 etc), and did not suffer the same problem. I think it was probably a dirty build...
