Hi:

Running Windows 2000, SP3, locked down with the Common Criteria High Security template (CC_HiSec_W2K_Professional.inf).

When running go-pear.php, I set "Installation prefix" to "c:\progra~1" The process dies before completion with the following:

vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
... snip ...
Downloading package: XML_Parser.......ok
Extracting installer..................ok
permission denied (rename): \progra~1\pear
permission denied (rename): \progra~1\pear.bat

commit failed
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I thought it might be permissions on my temporary directory, but it's not. I removed all permissions and then gave "Everyone" full control.

Then I thought it might have to do with permissions on the "pear" directory, so did the same thing with the permissions to this directory. No dice.

There really shouldn't be a problem. I'm running the script as the main Administrator account.

Thanks,

--Dan

Considering this is a verified bug and you're consolidating the activity to a different bug report, the appropiate status is "Duplicate."
