Guys,

I have just noticed that Pear's Manual, especially its front page at http://pear.php.net/manual/en/, is distorted when viewed in Opera 7.0 (WinXP). Same page looks `normal' in IE, NN and Mozilla.

Also strange is, that I assume PHP's manual only differs from Pear's in its content and styles, while the structures are the same.

PHP's Manual, on the very same broswer/system, looks just fine. I am suspecting that this is because Pear's manual (on front page only, because subsequent pages are fine) there are less data and its shorter in width, thus wraps up the page to the right. There should be some width implicit limits.

I'd go looking for the fix if had the phpweb karma. Or, can this be fixed from phpdoc module? Or, is this completely bogus and you won't care? :)

This cannot be fixed in phpdoc, it does not contain any pear docs anymore... BTW I'll post a mail to pear-webmaster@php.net and point them here...

OK. Shouldn't it then be in PEAR-RELATED category then, since the web and docs are separated now?

I am not sure. I don't know how the pear doc and pear webmaster guys overlap... Actually there is no ideal category to submit this bug to IMHO...

a little update,

Opera 6.04 works fine. There might be few to do to solve this...

+1 for creating a PEAR-RELATED category and to point it to php-pear-doc@lists.php.net(?).

For now PEAR related still looks better than PHP.net website.

This bug has been fixd in CVS. The changes will be online soon.
