Bug #215 Build of library on Apache dies
Submitted: 1998-03-30 21:20 UTC Modified: 1998-03-31 11:35 UTC

Status: Closed Package: Compile Failure

As per the directions, Configuration has

   AddModule modules/php3/mod_php3.o

Now when Apache is trying to build the required PHP3
library, it fails with the below error:

<=== modules/standard
===> modules/php3
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `libphp3.o', needed by `lib'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [all] Error 1
make: *** [subdirs] Error 1

What is going on is that LIBEXT is incorrectly
being set to 'o' instead of 'a' because the extension
in the AddModule line is 'o', as it should be...
