Submitted: 2002-12-13 08:52 UTC Modified: 2003-02-25 01:57 UTC
From: steve at petabit dot com Assigned:
Status: Not a bug Package: Website problem
PHP Version: 4.3.0RC3 OS: All
Private report: No CVE-ID: None

The link
http://www.php.net/manual/en/index.php/cs/fi/reserved.php
is supposed to contain a list of reserved words, but it
does not. It appears instead to be a copy of the
documentation Table of Contents.

The same error appears on one or two mirrors I checked.

Steve Rapaport.

This is a duplicate of bug #20870, see it for more details:

http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=20870

Notice how your link has three language codes in it, don't go to links like that. One day such links won't be presented in the search.php page. If you got to this invalid link a different way let us know.

reclassify -> phpweb problem.

Yes, you're right it seems to be a duplicate of that bug. BUT, an additional comment that might be worthy of a new bug:
(or would, if you weren't already working on a new search engine:)

This bug can be duplicated as follows:
type "Reserved Words" into the search box
on www.php.net.
Choose "Online Documentation", and
click 'Go'.
Now take the first link returned!

So unless you have been previously warned to look for extra language codes in the URL (I wasn't), you're likely to hit this problem a lot.

Hey, nobody said there's a "I'm Feeling Lucky?" button! ;) But seriously, search.php should be fixed as the "new search engine" has been talked about forever/years, I think it's more of a dream than reality :)

Further comments at the original bug...

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing
bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same. Because of this, we hope you add your comments
to the existing bug instead.

Thank you for your interest in PHP.
