Bug #20834 'output_buffering = Off' + 'output_handler = ob_gzhandler'

If I set (in php.ini):

output_buffering = Off
output_handler = ob_gzhandler

php enables output buffering without giving warnings, I'll expect that if I set "output_buffering = Off" the output buffering would be always disabled, also if I set "output_handler = ob_gzhandler", or a warning have to would be logged.

With php4.2.3 it worked well (output buffering was disabled) using the same php.ini.

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please
visit http://www.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

Thank you for your interest in PHP.

Reading documentation helps. Excert from comments inside php.ini
; Setting any output handler automatically turns on output buffering.
