Had similar problem with intermittent translator and/or isapi dll crashes. I would get a page with
"PHP has encountered an Access Violation at xxxxxxxxxxx"
and this would lock-up PHP totally. I took the advise of [5 Dec 11:26am] sniper@php.net and got the latest dev build (4.4.0-dev) and replaced all the 4.2.3 dlls with the 4.4.0-dev dlls and this problem has cleared up. Many thanks to sniper@php.net for the suggestion!

I downloaded the latest release of PHP yesterday - June 18
2003. I still get that bug when running php4isapi.dll on my
W2K Server with IIS5.
I'd really love to see this fixed :o)
