Environment is:

SunOS webserver 5.8 Generic_108528-14 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraSPARC-IIi-cEngine
GCC used: gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)
STDC++: Shared 2.10.0
Running: iPlanet Webserver Enterprise/6.0SP4
MySQL installed: 4.0.4-beta (before 3.23.52, but not worked too)

After acting like the docs (and ) suggest, I get the following error message in the error log:

[16/Oct/2002:18:15:29] info (12547): successful server startup
[16/Oct/2002:18:15:29] info (12547): iPlanet-WebServer-Enterprise/6.0SP4 B07/17/2002 14:04
[16/Oct/2002:18:15:29] catastrophe (12547): Server crash detected (signal SIGSEGV)
[16/Oct/2002:18:15:29] info (12547): Crash occurred in NSAPI SAF load-modules
[16/Oct/2002:18:15:29] info (12547): Crash occurred in function my_net_write from module /usr/iplanet/servers/bin/libphp4.so

PHP was compiled using the following alternatives:

o configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-nsapi=/usr/iplanet/servers --enable-track-vars --enable-libgcc

o configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql --with-nsapi=/usr/iplanet/servers --enable-track-vars --enable-libgcc --disable-debug --with-xml --enable-trans-sid --enable-discard-path --with-readline --with-regex=php --enable-sysvsem --enable-sysvshm --enable-shmop --enable-memory-limit --with-config-file-path=/usr/iplanet/servers

o configure --without-mysql --with-nsapi=/usr/iplanet/servers --enable-track-vars --enable-libgcc

o configure --without-mysql --with-nsapi=/usr/iplanet/servers --enable-track-vars --enable-libgcc --disable-debug --with-xml --enable-trans-sid --enable-discard-path --with-readline --with-regex=php --enable-sysvsem --enable-sysvshm --enable-shmop --enable-memory-limit --with-config-file-path=/usr/iplanet/servers

In all the different compilations above, the same behavior of crash remained. By the way, compiling PHP as a CGI produces no errors and running the binary produces no crashes.
