When I try to publish some String by taking it via text area from user, if the user writes "$500", when I publish it in the next page it shows "00". That means it nullifies $5. It treats $5 as null.

USE SINGLE QUOTE! like this '$500'

That was not a solution. U din understand the problem. even if I read from database(MySQL) in my case, and if there is a String that contains "$5000", it automatically converts it to "00". Should that happen? It somehow parses $ followed by a number in a wrong way. I think I could describe the prob in a better way this time
