I am running IIS on Windows 2000 Server SP3.
Every page takes infinately long to load while php_gd.dll is enabled in php.ini.
ANY script reproduces the problem, even <? phpinfo();?>
Our code using the php_gd library worked fine on 4.1.1. 
We've tryed replacing the php_gd.dll with the one from 4.1.1, and with 4.1.2.
Commenting out the php_gd module fixes the problem without even restarting IIS.
We are running PHP as a CGI binary.
Sorry I do not have server access anymore as my boss doesn't like downtime, and my development servers do not have this bug.

php_gd.dll works just fine. Your problem is probably related to some leftover .dlls from previous php install. Make sure to remove them all and reinstall php including copying all required dlls to you winnt\system32 folder as described in the install instructions.
