Bug #18549 'make' does not finish building libphp4.so

PHP Version: 4.2.2 OS: Linux 2.4.2-2
Private report: No CVE-ID: None

My 'config.nice':
# Created by configure

'./configure' \
'--with-db3' \
'--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs' \
'--with-mysql=/usr/' \
'--enable-bcmath' \
'--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd/conf' \
"$@"

The default action of 'make' need not build any particular
component of a system, but it is pathological for the
default action to build 99% of a system and leave the
last command(s) of the the build to be run as part of the
'install' target.

The final real command run by 'make' with no target
specified is libphp4.la and the first real command
run by 'make install' seems to be the one that actually
finishes the libphp4.so build.

Build commands should not be part of an 'install' target,
install can and should depend on build commands, but that
is it.
