produces nothing when the script is called with ?blah=hello
when this is set in php.ini:

; List of separator(s) used by PHP to parse input URLs into variables.
; Default is "&".
; NOTE: Every character in this directive is considered as separator!
arg_separator.input = ";&"

It does produces something ("hello") when set to this:
; List of separator(s) used by PHP to parse input URLs into variables.
; Default is "&".
; NOTE: Every character in this directive is considered as separator!
arg_separator.input = "&;"

I dont know if this is a problem in the php code or just the ini.. The change made it work fine though :-)

I can not reproduce this. Try this script instead:
