No matter what I do I can't get fopen to open a file from remote FTP:

Eg.

fopen("ftp://user:pass@mynameserver/dir/file.ext", "r");

always returns no such file/directory

/dir is a symlink to /u03/home/izteo

have tried

fopen("ftp://user:pass@mynameserver/u03/home/izteo/file.ext", "r");

as well. No go.

I can open either URL fine through IE ftp explorer view.

Is this a bug?
