Whenever using PHP's Image Generation Functions, the Apache 1.3.x child process used up 100% cpu and hung up, causing the page to hang and all future visits stopped to the site. I was using the SAPI module, but it started working like normal after using the executable php.exe.

Can you please try http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-latest.zip and see if it works for you?

Status report: I didnt want to try out the 4.3 Snapshot
And this problem was still around (however, not as often occuring) in 4.2.2
Now I just upgrade to 4.2.3 and I'll keep you posted

Update:
I upgraded to PHP 4.3.0 and the problem is still there, just for when I use the SAPI module; doesnt matter if I use GD 1.x or 2.0.
