After upgrading to PHP 4.2.1 on my Linux 2.2.14 box, I've started to receive this error by the hundreds in my logs:

Jun 17 11:37:35 www httpd: PHP Warning: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current sett
ing of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Now these errors did not appear with PHP 4.0.6. Now I know that sessions are still working since I registered some values and found them by grepping /tmp. And most of my PHP sites would not be working if sessions weren't working. And yes, I've checked that:

-The apache user has permission to read/write to /tmp
-There is enough space on my partition.

I've done some searching and found a few other Linux users with the same problem, so I'm wondering if this is a PHP bug.

Thanks,
Ricky
