I've tried to install php 4.2.0 on a W98/w2k server multiboot machine without success. Since W98 needs to be installed first it is localed on drive c: A standard install fails, it tries to install things in drive c: and aborts it cannot find a OCX to complete *Win98 only has PWS installed). Extended install shows the same problem. Would be nice to know what OCX is missing. Other apps like Perl will configure properly.

So I'm not sure if the problem it the installer or my machine.

Anyhow multiboot configurtations don't work well with the installer.

You need to proper OCX controls to install the stuff. Not a bug in PHP.
