There is a user finally notice this problem.

But manual says that the function must take affect only during a script execution time but not AFTER it's termination.

This is basiclly the same as "sticky session module name" bug report.
The cause of this is not in session module, probably.
(I'm guessing it's bug in ini value handling now)
