the following html is a web page. paste it to a file and name it whatever.html.  view it in you browser. looks nice huh. now rename it to whatever.phtml  and view it again. its kacked.  everything after the </select> tag gets kacked until the next <select> tag. 

ps. this text box is fracked too. its not big enough to take my whole message

This cannot possibly be a PHP problem.  Look at the "View Source" in your browser.  I bet it is there
but not showing up because you a missing the closing form tag or something.
