When you incorrectly use the sort() function, PHP barfs
and dumps core.

<?
function a($array) {
 return($array);
}
$testarray = array("this", "is", "a", "test");

$newarray = sort(a($testarray));
echo count($newarray)."\n";
?>

Should handle the error situation better or permit sort()
to be used in this way. :)  $x = a(b(c(sort($d))));
