I'm curious as to what ppl are using to get the IMAP support configured in...I downloaded UoW's IMAP server, untar'd it and ran configure, but get the following each and every time:

checking for IMAP support... configure: error: could not find linkage.h in /usr/local/src/imap-4.4/src/c-client/include !

Of course not, since linkage.h (and every other header file) is in the c-client directory...there is no include directory.  To get around it, I'm manually going into c-client and doing:

ln -s . include

But I doubt that is considered appropriate?

NOTE: removed Appendum...for some stupid reason that I can't fathom at
 this hour, I failed to *build* the c-client.a library *slap forehead*  the lack of an include directory, though, is a problem...

The problem is more that the IMAP package doesn't have a real 'make install' that copies the client library and needed include files somewhere.
Hence the instructions at the bottom of: http://www.php.net/manual/ref.imap.php3
It is never a good idea to link against a source directory directly.
