Hi,

   i got a VERY strange problem here with PHP 3.
I got php3b3 installed, and it worked fine.
But suddenly i can't access ANY mysql databases
anymore. The worse thing is, that I did not change
anything.

When I use mysql_connect() i get
Out of memory (Needed 8192 bytes)
on the console. (there 20MB + 30 MB Swap free !)
and the error log says :
 httpd: caught SIGSEGV, attempting to dump core in /ht
tpd

hope this helps you to find the bug. (or tell me my hardware
is suddenly broken ? :)

regards,
   Michael Glauche

Problems seem to go away after a server upgrade / relinking with static library.
It should have nothing to do with static linking.
