This is just a tip after seeing people having problems getting Sybase ASE 11.9.2 working with PHP3/4. The common syndrom is a crash after changing something that requires a restart of Apache.  The reason is that the new Sybase CT library requires a $SYBASE enviroment variable set. To fix this easily, do a "su -l sybase", then a "su root" and then start Apache.
