Description:
------------
As you know, PECL bugs are handled through the PECL website. But, PECL is (inadvertently?) still an option in the list of bug types in the PHP bug system. This allows users to enter PECL bugs into the PHP net system, where they are very likely to get lost. It seems like a good idea to remove that option.

In addition, PECL bug emails are going to pear-dev instead of pecl-dev.

Thanks,

AFAIK that category is kept because there are PECL bugs in the system, and those need to be kept.

Then please at least redirect the emails to pecl-dev rather than pear-dev.

Also, there have been at least one recent bug that did not really warrant the pecl status. While phpize affects pecl, it is hardly pecl related (see bug #29160). Therefore, I think the right thing to do would be to place a link to the pecl bug page for PECL related bugs. That way, people don't open bugs here if they are for a PECL module.

The PECL category does NOT exist anymore.
