Hi,

We are running PHP on a Zeus web server with a Sybase Database. We seem to be receiving a lot of 508 Bad Gateway Errors. It seems like php is dropping connections to the database when connecting with Sybase. I was wondering if their is a solution to this problem that I am overseeing. We have about 750000 raw clicks a day and we receive about 7000 bad gateway errors a day. I would appreciate any information you can give me. Could the problem be a connection problem with Sybase or is it a problem with Zeus?

The problem has gotten so bad that one of our programmers was forced to write a script to refresh the page when a 508 bad gateway error occured.

Thanks in advance

Bill Cuevas

Can this be reproduced with PHP 4.1.0?

You also might want to try out the FastCGI mode with Zeus.
