After compiling php4.04 without any error Apache is not able to start because of a "core dump" - php 4.0.3pl1 works fine.

do  ... php-4.0.4/build/shtool install -c -m 755 $prog /usr/local/bin/$prog;  done

apachectl stop
/usr/local/sbin/apachectl stop: httpd stopped
0.009u 0.022s 0:00.16 12.5%     444+316k 2+0io 0pf+0w
apachectl startssl
Floating point exception - core dumped

This is fixed in CVS. Please try latest snapshot from
http://snaps.php.net/ and reopen this bug report
if problem still exists with it.
