When looking thru the manual for a way to remove a key from an array I ran across unset in the documentation for exec. There is no documentation for unset. Is unset what I need for removing a key from an array?

Yes, it is.
Please don't report missing documentation as a documentation
problem (read http://ca.php.net/bugs-dos-and-donts.php3
for further details)
