session.sid_length is not listed at all. It was added in 7.1 and has a default value of 32.

session.sid_bits_per_character is listed as having a default value of 32. The default value is 4. On top of that, it only accepts values from 4 to 6, so 32 isn't even valid.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
