Description:
------------
---
From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.register-shutdown-function
---

Somebody notes in the COMMENTS:
"""
from 5.0.5 on objects will be unloaded _before_ your shutdown function is called which means you can't use previously initiated objects
"""

This MUST be mentioned in a "changelog" section (now missing) of the documentation page. It's something that has a huge impact and it can't be just left to a user comment.

Well: assuming that this could bite someone who is upgrading for the first time in over a decade, or is working with some really old code...

Is the comment accurate? Or is the problem, the fix, and the resulting warning in the documentation (as discussed in the commentary on the bug cited in the user comment) related specifically to custom session handlers?

https://3v4l.org/9k5XJ says that a shutdown function can use previously instantiated objects in every version from 4.3.0 to 7.2.4.

It doesn't seem like this bug is valid imho.
