Thanks for the report. I'm not sure what you suggest to do. Isn't "set fileencoding" a vim command? And otherwise, all the files in ext/calendar are either ascii or latin1.

you can open jewish.c by texteditor like notepad++.then save it by utf-8 none bom.
because jewish obtain other character maybe means its filename jewish.
