It looks, that unpack("H*", ... doesn't work correctly - it gives me no result. The script:

$a = 'abcdefg';

$arr = unpack("H*",$a);
echo "<BR>H*: ". $arr[""];

$arr = unpack("H14",$a);
echo "<BR>H14: ". $arr[""];

gives me this otput:
H*:
H14: 61626364656667

In 3.0.16 workt the first unpack() line correctly (the second not, but never mind).
