Will now try with the exact same compiler and environment that works very well for 5.6.26. So this means just cc and using the -Xa transition level compliance wherein extensions and some other items outside of C99 will be accepted. I think the important issue is that 5.6.26 compiles and tests well with this environment so I hope that 7.0.x does also.
