Did you enable the mysql-specific PDO extension?

Your php.ini file (ensure you're looking at the right one) should have:

    extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll on Windows
    extension=php_pdo_mysql.so on Linux/Mac

Make sure you have PDO_MYSQL enabled.
