Description:
------------

From manual page: http://www.php.net/function.http-post-fields
---

This documentation section covers the http pecl module until version 1.x, pecl currently has a 2.0.x version, which is completely different and not compatible in any way, shape or form.

It had me looking in all the wrong places for an hour :)

Good point. I'm not (yet?) familiar with the situation of this extension, but it appears version 2+ is documented here:

  http://devel-m6w6.rhcloud.com/mdref/http

Is this permanent?

Assigning to extension maintainer to make a decision one way or the other.

I've suggested using a separate package(albeit http2 would be a bit ambiguous), but never got a reply back:
https://www.mail-archive.com/pecl-dev@lists.php.net/msg00481.html
now that we have 2.0 releases with stable stability, more and more people will upgrade to 2.0 and notice that the 2.0 version isn't backward compatible with 1.0.
Not sure what would be the best action at this point.

Yeah, well, the majority was of the opinion to keep the package name. That's what we've got now... :-/
