The encrypt and decrypt functions for Windows systems (php3_crypt.dll) are not
documented at all. What parameters are passed to these functions? Do they act like
the Unix crypt command?

Those functions were an experiment at best, and are not realy an official part of php. We should probably remove them from the distribution unless someone out there wants to take care of this module.
