While compiling PHP 5.4.23 myself, I just noticed that almost all tests of the memcache extension failed.

Reason is that tests/ is missing from the tagged release-3.0.8 that I attempted to build.

Copying over that file from an earlier build, resulted in all tests passing that passed before (there is one that doesn't pass, but it didn't pass in the past, either - PECL bug #16442 (memcache_set fail with integer value) [tests/pecl16442.phpt]

Expected result:
tests pass (mostly)

Actual result:
tests don't pass (mostly)

The official bug tracker for PECL/memcache is now at

So, if this is still an issue with either of the current memcache
versions (4 or 8), please file an issue there.
