Description:

Month and day names in \DateTime class should be protected static variables 
instead of hardcoded (php_date.c line 1000) strings. That would it make easier to 
translate them into other langauges (extending the \DateTime class).

I think you're better off to use IntlDateFormatter if you need
internationalization.  If you feel strongly about this feature,
please pursue the RFC process[1].
