Three new functions were added with

I have no real idea how to use them. For example what does ancillary data mean (-
> C structs)? In the RFC is written "see below". But below is nothing about it?

Please add it to the docs.

Simple skeletons have now been added but let's leave this as a reminder to 
complete the docs as they are new (so should have been documented) and offer test 
cases that should help the cause.
