synopsis:

sudo pecl -d preferred_state=beta install expect FAILS with : ld: library not 
found for -lexpect

Expected result:
----------------
I expect sudo pecl -d preferred_state=beta install expect to successfully build 
the extension and install it.

Actual result:
--------------
FAILURE with: ld: library not found for -lexpect

Please specify what were your configure options. Did you specify the expect 
installation directory? (--with-expect=/opt/local)
