I'm simply trying to connect to mssql version 6.5.

I've tried everything that people have suggested on the php.net support but no luck.

I simply get the undefined function.

I have gone through the procedure to make sure the extention_dir is correct and also I have removed the ";" from section:
[MSSQL]
extension=php_mssql.dll

Also someonce mentioned to use the php.exe and now the iis simply hangs and I can't run the web server any longer.

so I went back to phpiis lib.
Anyhow, our application here at the city of toronto runs partially on mysql which is problem free but the next portion that I have to connect to mssql can not establish connection.

Any suggestion?

Your help is much appreciated.

dumb question, do you have that .dll placed in the extension dir...

No feedback.
Please try adding this php_mssql70.dll instead of php_mssql.dll as it seems
there's some typo in php.ini-dist..
Reopen if problem still exists with newer versions ( >= php4.0.2).
