We've developed a Strong Type Hinted PHP Framework @ We would want SPL Types to become mainstream as part of the existing SPL extension to PHP, as it would be a great addition and proper strong data type extension.

What's needed for SPL Types to be added to the standard SPL package for use of anyone who desires?

Expected result:
SPL Types should be a part of the standard SPL package.

Actual result:
They're a PECL extension, kind of hard to install, needs PECL package, not available on Debian/Ubuntu. If it were part of the standard SPL package that would resolve the problems of its mainstream distribution.

Suspending this report as the extension have not had a release for almost 5 years. Please revive this if the extension once again shows life
