When using MemcachePool in binary mode, mmc_prepare_key_ex() shouldn't replace spaces with underscores like it does in ascii mode.

Yes it should; or people who are mixing the binary and ascii protocol would get a lot of protocol errors for the ascii protocol. Though when fetching multiple values the binary protocol returns arrays with the original (unescaped) keys.

However, if you can present a compelling argument for it shouldn't escape the keys we'll consider changing the current behavior.
