------------
had to use "apt-get install libgpgme11-dev" to fix the problem

make: *** [gnupg.lo] Error 1
ERROR: `make' failed

Expected result:
----------------
Should have told me that libgpgme11-dev was missing. (I had
installed libgpgme-dev instead.)

Actual result:
--------------
Just failed to compile w/o any hint. Thanks chinstrap from IRC
for helping me solve it.
