While attempting to install ssh2 following instructions for installation without pear found on php.net, the following error was producted resulting in failed make command. 

Reproduce code:
---------------
compile failed after phpize && ./configure --with-ssh2 && make

http://www.selectionsheet.com/ssh2error

Expected result:
----------------
Expecting a successful installation of ssh2 library to be used with php.
