Description:
------------
The bindParam() method works fine for using single string values into a query, but there is no method to use SQL features like

$letters = array('a', 'b', ...);

to create SQL like

SELECT * FROM test WHERE letter IN ('a', 'b', ...);

with proper string escaping.

A method PDO::escapeString() is required so can build the SQL explicity.
