This regards the PEAR distributed with php 5.0.0.rc2. When trying to run go-pear, I got an error during install due to my 'TEMP' dir being set to "G:\". go-pear.php customarily added a path separator before the path to its temp dir, rendering "G:\\go_temp6\" (or somesuch path). Obviously, the directory couldn't be created due to the path being illegal, and the install failed.

this just has nothing to do with PEPr so I changed the category.

this is an issue in go-pear, not in PEAR

Significant changes have been made to go-pear. Please obtain a current copy and try again then let us know what happens.

Considering changelog says this bug was fixed and there was no feedback, time to close this bug.
