The spacer cell between the next/prev links and the "View this page in" text is too tall when viewed in IE.  This is caused by spaces in the <td> element.

See the following example if you so desire.

This patch removes the spaces and replaces the image and colored background with a <hr>.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.

In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.
